I have still been feeling great, and we are so thankful for this wonderful blessing God has given us. This week we graduate from birthing class, and last week we were able to get a tour of the hospital. The birthing room is HUGE, but the room after the baby is born is SO small!
Yesterday, Jordan and I registered at Babies R Us. I think that was the most overwhelming thing we have come across in this pregnancy. Since we are first time parents, we have no idea what we need exactly and how much of each thing we need. So first, we had to decide what is essential for our baby. Then once we decided that we needed something, we had to choose between ten different brand names and a HUGE price range. Well, we got through it, and I think we actually did really well. It really made me nervous seeing how much stuff we will need for this little girl. So if any of you mommys out there are reading this, I would LOVE it if you wouldn't mind posting a comment and telling us what things you think are most important to have for baby, or your favorite gadgets :)
Only 18 days till Christmas :)

seriously...you need diapers and wipes and you (especially if you're breast feeding)! in my experience, cooper has needed hardly anything besides our love and attention. some newborn size onesies and pjs would be very useful as it's always great to have extra clothes to turn to so you're not doing laundry every single day.
aside from all the bigger items, some of the extras that have come in handy are receiving blankets and some plush soft blankets (we use these for a variety of things), a pack and play or some sort of item for the area of your house you guys spend most of your time (for us it's a pack and play in the living room...we change him and have him nap in there...very handy and holds lots of stuff so we're not running up and down the stairs every time we need something for cooper), laundry detergent: brand ALL free and clear(you don't need dreft or special stuff...ALL is fine for babies...we wash all our clothes together; makes it easy), the Dreft stain stick (gets out the yucky baby stains so nicely), baby wash and lotion of your choice, a Boppy (for nursing), and chocolate (for you of course!).
these are just a few recommendations... one could really go crazy with all the stuff out there. but when it all comes down to it and you're holding your sweet little girl, you'll find what she needs most is you and jordan.
i know it gets old having people tell you what they think you need to know when you're pregnant, but if there's every any questions and you want some feedback, don't hesitate to ask.
much love to the baileys!
You should check with your hospital to see if they offer a newborn class. They offer one out here, and the teacher will tell you all the gadgets and items worth getting, and all the ones not worth it. Plus everything you can think of to keep your baby safe around the home.
Also she told us not to get a lot of diapers at first, because you don't know the shape of Laney's bottom:) Or if she will be more sensitive....all that good stuff.:) Just some advice passed along to me that I will pass along to you.
